- I suggest you check your information on this one:
-
- 1. the X11 toolkit includes the GNU C compiler, correct, but as of yet
- not-quite-officially announced.
-
- 2. It uses go32, not dos4gx. Dos4gx is used for their 32-bit
- programs, but not for gcc-built programs.
-
- 3. The gcc it includes is a verbatim copy of djgpp 1.08 (or will be).
-
- 4. djgpp 1.08 also includes (binary-only) the X11 toolkit, per
- agreement with Quarterdeck.
-
- This arrangement between Quarterdeck and myself (author of djgpp and
- porter of gcc to it) was to our mutual benefit, and is definitely a
- pair of real products. Traditionally, support for this particular
- environment (djgpp) has been at *no* cost to any user.
-
- Note also that I get a lot of mail from people who are using gcc
- ported to MS-DOS to create real products (ie: sell for $$ to
- customers) as well.
