- I've looked at debug-on-error, but found it's tendency to get trapped
- in infinite loops when it tries to debug loading errors to be unacceptable.
-
- Have you sent a bug report with a detailed recipe for reproducing the
- problem? If not, please do--so we can get it *fixed*.
-
- Users often treat bugs as immutable facts of nature; they talk about
- what bugs exist as if they just had to learn to live with them or
- avoid them.
-
- This is a mistake. Emacs has maintainers. Our mission is to fix
- bugs. Your part is to report all bugs in a way that helps us fix
- them. See the Emacs manual for how to do this effectively.
-
- I plan to make a new release of Emacs 18 in the next couple of months,
- and if you report a bug now, it can get fixed in the release.
