  12. Has anyone ever tried to install emacs on a SINIX 5.40 machine, and was successfull? We have a MX500 with an i486 (or i386?). I've tried to install emacs18.58, but without success. No problems on DECstations or Targon35, but on SINIX... I've tried with m-intel386.h and s-usg5-3.h in config.h. but the effect was that some libraries are not where make expects them and $BUILD/src/xmakefile was not built correctly (stuff like '$ ( VARIABLENAME )' and 'path / foo . bar').
