  13. I use X11R4 windows on a sparcstation under SunOS 4.1.1, and my
  14. emacs is that version which runs in its own window.
  15.  
  16. I have a screen font which contains latin characters in their ascii
  17. positions, and, in addition, cyrillic characters in the upper 128
  18. cells, i.e., with the 8th bit = 1.  Are there ways to prevent emacs
  19. from translating the non-ascii characters to their octal codes, and
  20. to display both latin and cyrillic simultaneously?
