- Sometimes when I'm dialed up to an SGI machine from home, and try to start up a
- terminal emulator, it gives me the following:
-
- stty: : Inappropriate IOCTL operation
-
- This happens every so often. The terminal then refuses to accept any input I
- type in (and it doesn't give me a prompt, anyway). I log out of the machine,
- back to the terminal server prompt, and then try logging back in, but to no
- avail. What's going on here? Richard Mlynarik, where are you?
-
- The machine runs SVR3, and at times it works without any problems. Should I be
- doing some stty of something before I start emacs up?
