  12. I want to take advantage of the power of
  13. emacs and interactively run smalltalk80 with
  14. st.el .  I don't use emacs all the time, so to make
  15. things easy I am putting st.el (and st-changelog.el)
  16. directly into my .emacs file.  Unfortunately, when
  17. typing " ESC-X mst-mode " the interactive session 
  18. is not started, eventhough the highlighted buffer 
  19. window says it is "Starting Smalltalk".

  21. I have an alias in my .cshrc file with
  22. the path to my instructors account .  Placing mst 
  23. in my home directory doesn't help or change things.

  25. What do I need to do, or do differently, to invoke mst
  26. and still use st.el ?
