- I'm an emacs novice, but I can hack a bit of LISP when necessary.
-
- My problem is this:
-
- At UMIST we have different machines for different things:
- Xterminals, Mail Servers, News Servers, Big Processors etc.
- And I have an account on each.
-
- What I want to be able to do is to set up ONE emacs on ONE machine
- which loads and saves files from ANY machine, and handles mail/News.
- How on earth do I go about doing this?
-
- This will also help me to justify emacs to some sceptics here who
- prefer such abberrations as xedit and vi. (And also my insistence
- on a _REAL_ VT100).
-
- I'm happy to RTFM, if someone will tell me which FM and which
- FSection.
-
- Many Thanks in advance
-
