  13. I am using RCS version 5.5, and I've hit a problem caused by a system
  14. system crash while I was checking in a file.

  16. When my system rebooted, and I retried the command, I get the
  17. following error from RCS:

  19. tcsh> ci -u my.file
  20. ci error: RCS file RCS/my.file,v is in use
  21.  
  22. This is probably caused by an open lock on the RCS file, left when the
  23. system crashed. How can I remove this lock, to get back to the point
  24. where I can check my file in?
