  15. There seems to be a common misunderstanding of the original author's
  16. intention.  I think he meant Emacs should be able to "load" compressed
  17. files, which means executing Lips code contained in a file, as opposed
  18. to read a file into an Emacs buffer for editing.

  20. Has anyone implemented *loading* (as opposed to editing) compressed
  21. files yet?  I'm not *too* eager to re-implement yet another wheel.
