  14. I am new to this group, most definitely because I am relatively new to Motif
  15. programming.  I use an NCD XTerminal connected to a VAX running VMS.  Our user
  16. interface is DECWindows Motif.  I would like to start writing some Motif
  17. applications and am currently reading Marshall Brain's book, "Motif
  18. Programming - the essentials and more".  I would like to write a
  19. simple application that creates two windows that communicate with one another. 
  20. I am particularly interested in how the C/Motif/VMS interfaces handle
  21. subprocesses and detached processes.  Can anyone out there give me pointers or
  22. show me small sample applications that have these features?
