  17. I don't know if this will help, but you just do something like this.

  19. /usr/bin/X11/xsetroot -bitmap /usr/include/X11/bitmaps/granite

  21. You of course have to have the bitmap, but otherwise check out
  22. the manpage for xsetroot and all will become clear.  If you don't
  23. have the bitmap itself, mail me and I will mail you a copy.
