  11. I am running TVTWM under X11R4 on a NeXT

  13. I was wondering how to set the root window to grey (rather than the default 
  14. tiled background with TVTWM?  Before loading TVTWM, I can use 
  15. xsetroot -grey  , however once TVTWM loads it overwrites it with the default
  16. background and further calls to xsetroot have no effect.

  18. Also, I want to set the geometry for the virtual desktop window on startup - 
  19. I assume that this can be set in my .Xdefaults file but I don't know the 
  20. correct syntax (using virtualDesktop:geometry ... does not work)
