  11. I just compiled X11R5 with gcc 2.2 on my Sun Sparc with SunOS 4.1.1.
  12. I was wondering if anyone new the side affects of compiling the
  13. shared libraries with gcc.  There is a warning saying that old 
  14. X applications linked with cc will not work (they must have been
  15. linked with gcc).

  17. Are there any benefits of compiling the libraries with gcc?
