  11. I have found the VACSINA virus on a student laptop which came in for
  12. repairs. Using the following software produced these results:

  14. Bates Anti-Virus Utilities v3.37

  16. TREE.COM    Found Vacsina - TP05 <1206>
  17. MEM.EXE        Found Vacsina - TP05 <1206>
  18.  
  19. F-PROT v2.04
  20.  
  21. TREE.COM    Infection: Vacsina (TP-5)
  22. MEM.EXE        Infection: Vacsina (TP-5)
  23. CHKDSK.EXE    Infection: Vacsina-loader
  24.  
  25. I am interested in the result of F-PROT indicating CHKDSK. Is this
  26. file infected - probably but to what extent? Is it important that one
  27. utility recognised CHKDSK while the other did not?
