- Well, yeah, Ctar itself works. Ctar (like tar and any properly written
- archiver) will write to anything: another file, your screen, a 9 track,
- your laser printer, your swap partition, /dev/kmem... :-)

- But crash recovery requires the ability to access the floppy AND the
- tape at the same time. With floppy based tape, you are
- out of luck.
