- We have a problem with stray user processes in ULTRIX 4.2A on our DECstation
- 5000s. Pathworks users typically leave their PCs on at night connected to an
- Ingres front end server in the middle of an application. The users end up
- being disconnected but it leaves a process hanging. Those that turn their
- machines off do so from the application, which doesn't help anything. They too
- leave processes hanging.

- This is an example of just one user. We know of no way to time out user
- connections. We are running a Bin/Hesiod enhanced security environment.
