  12. Well I've spent an hour going through man/manuals. The sytem manager
  13. has gone home, but he knows less than me about unix anyway so I'm stuck.
  14. I'm sitting in front of a decstation 5000/125 running ultrix 4.2 with
  15. a nice little exabyte attatched to it - I have a blank exabyte tape
  16. on the desk in front of it and I want to save some files to it. I'm
  17. familiar with tar at least for use with files but not tapedrives. 
  18. So can someone please tell me how I go about initialising my tape.
  19. Assuming I can manage this task hwo do I go about saving files to
  20. it without them overwriting each other. Thankyou for your kind
  21. attention - I'm now off for a coffee. Can I make anyone one ?
