  18. Why not just switch to the version of man re-written in Perl?
  19. (available on ftp.uu.net).  It does everything man does on other
  20. systems, plus it's faster than ones written in "C".  You can set
  21. it up for various pagers, or just "setenv PAGER foo" to use "foo".

  23. There is a paper in the first or second Usenix LISA conference
  24. proceedings called "The Answer to all Man's Problems".  Read it,
  25. learn it, love it.  Perl.
