  15. Thanks for all the info received so far. I must admit though that our machine
  16. still refuses to route anything between its interfaces. The -q option has been
  17. removed on routed, but this made no difference. The situation is still that
  18. not even a ping will pass through. Traceroute shows that the external machines
  19. try to deliver through our DECstation, so presumably routed is doing its job,
  20. the packets just dont go through. Similarly the PCs on the interior net send
  21. their pings to the proper interface, as that is their default gateway, but no
  22. packets are seen on the outside net. Sigh!
