- Well, not that I'm trying to attack OSF/1 V1.0, but we got it and it was
- not what I would describe as stable. Poor thing kept doing really fun
- things like crashing and coming up with the root file system suddenly
- read-only (resulting in instant boot failure), errors in the loader,
- and the list goes on. Don't think it stayed up for more than about 24
- hours at a stretch.

- I still slobber every time I think about some of the really neat
- capabilities (like logical volumes, space-rescuing shared-libraries, etc.)
- but concluded that I am going to sit it out for a bit longer until it
- really does get stable. Maybe the stuff you're running internally at
- DEC works fine now, but that must be pretty heavily modified from what
- I got when it started shipping in May.
