  12.       My company department has a problem. We are currently running an
  13. internal software package that was designed to run under "MS Windows 2.1".
  14. The computers that we are running this on are 386 clones running
  15. SCO Unix v3.2 and the VPIX (DOS emulator).

  17.       The problem is, the department in charge of the internal software
  18. package is releasing a new version of it and is not going to support the
  19. old one any more. :-( The new version will only run on "MS Windows 3.1"
  20. which does not work under VPIX. Open Desk Top (ODT) does supply a DOS
  21. shell but the price at this time of ODT is prohibitively high for my
  22. department.

  24.       Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get around this
  25. dilemma? One idea we had was to reformat the hard disk and to set up one
  26. partition for DOS and another for UNIX. But, we don't know if it is
  27. possible to switch between the two operating systems. Another idea would
  28. be to find some other company that supplies DOS shell software, like
  29. ODT's version, as a separate software package that can be bought for a
  30. little amount of money.
