  30. For serial ports without a FIFO UART, I experienced little difference between
  31. stock asy drivers and FAS. Maybe ISC did a better job than their competitors,
  32. I dunno, the last ISC package I played with is 2.0.1...

  34. However, FAS appears to be much better in exploiting FIFO UARTs than its
  35. competitors: the asy drivers that come with ESIX 4.0.3 and Dell 4.0.2.0
  36. failed to reduce the system load noticably when using 16550s.
