- Why not have a look The Netherlands. Here, there are several sites offering
- USENET news ("NEABBS" in Amsterdam comes to mind). I don't know their rates,
- but they're most likely considerably cheaper than fetching news via an
- intercontinental phone line.
- In addition, there are some (at least two that I know of) organizations
- through which non-profit users can get a feed.
- Finally, you can get read-only feeds from several BBSes, allowing you to
- reduce costs to posting only through a possibly more expensive alternative
- channel.
