- I'm running SVR4 on an AT&T StarServer E, and using a version of rdist that
- someone at Dell kindly hacked for SV (sorry I don't remember his name).
- However, I'm running into problems. Here's what I have set up:
-
- distfile:
- HOSTS = ( bin@leto )
- FILES = ( /usr/local/bin )
- ${FILES} -> ${HOSTS}
- install;
-
-
- as root, I run rdist, and get this error message:
-
- remshd: Permission denied for root@sandworm
- 514: root: bin: rdist -Server
-
- as bin, I get this error message:
-
- rcmd: socket: Permission denied
- 514: bin: bin: rdist -Server
-
-
- I also put a .rhosts file in the appropriate directories (/, and /usr/bin) on
- the remote machine.
-
- Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
