- Well, I can't get the rarpd to work for me, but otherwise it looks good.
- The performance is better than the last release, and it's got
- lots of useful stuff pre-compiled for it, of which I've used at least
- dig, traceroute and xntpd today and they all seem to work well.

- How remote ? Do you mean using PPP or SLIP ? For certain, SCO ODT
- has absolutely no problems talking to netblazers running FRED 1.5
- over ethernet because I that's what I'm typing into right now.

- This sounds like a reference to the PPP implementation. It's true that
- SCO ODT 2.0 supports only RFC171 and RFC172 PPP which is not the
- latest RFC. However, that goes the same for most PPP implementations
- you can get today, and most of them seem to work fine with the Netblazer.
-
- I haven't had a chance to try out SCO's own ppp yet, so I can't say
- whether it will interoperate with the Netblazer, but being an "old"
- ppp will in itself not prevent it doing so. Do try changing some
- of the Netblazer ppp configurations. For example, SCO's manuals
- at cursory reading don't mention VJ header compression support, so
- you might want to try a wild stab at disabling that on the netblazer
- end.
-
- Sorry I can't give any concrete help, but I've redirected followups to
- a group containing people who might be able to (the ppp newsgroup)
- since it sounds like you're having PPP trouble.
