  12. I am looking to put a UNIX-like operating system on a PC-compatible
  13. computer.  As this is for personal use, expense is a major
  14. consideration.  Could someone please tell me where to find information
  15. concerning the advantages or disadvantages of the various UNIX and
  16. UNIX-like (e.g. COHERENT, QNX, ... ) systems currently available?

  18. My system is currently a 286 class machine. However, as I am looking to
  19. upgrade to a 386 or 486 in the near future anyway, information on the
  20. software available on any of these would be useful.
