  24. I am on a machine (Sun workstation) that has a few devices attached to it 
  25. physically. I know that there are links to them somewhere in the /dev
  26. directory.

  28. what I want to know: is there an utility that can scan /dev and report what
  29. devices are active and what are their paths?
