  19. There are several resons I haven't been doing this:

  21. A)    Almost all of the major archives have mirrored agate.berkeley.edu;
  22.     this means that if you know how to get 386BSD such that you will
  23.     need the FAQ, you can get the FAQ.

  25. B)    Lynne Jolitz contacted me via email about 2 weeks ago asking for
  26.     the most recent copy.  This implies that there might be "official"
  27.     maintenance of it, and that unofficial postings would simply
  28.     duplicate effort, in the best case, or that both would contain
  29.     only partially intersecting data such that you had to have both of
  30.     them, worst case.

  32. C)    It's questionable whether or not a 386BSD FAQ would be welcome on
  33.     comp.unix.bsd, given the recent discussion about splitting the
  34.     group.

  36. D)    At last count, I have 126 software projects, 4 physics projects,
  37.     12 writing projects (including the FAQ), and 3 electronic projects
  38.     in the works, not including work, and Friday night is movie night
  39.     8-).  Of these, the top ones are:

  41.     1)    Work
  42.     2)    Movie night
  43.     3)    Reading netnews
  44.     4)    Am39C93A SCSI driver
  45.     5)    i82586 driver for PC-10 NAU
  46.     6)    Boot code memory sizing rewrite
  47.     7)    VFS interface rewrite
  48.     8)    Making patch distributions for upload to agate
  49.     9)    Noderunner (X loaderunner game)
  50.     10)    386BSD FAQ
  51.     11)    Modelling of Relativistically Invariant P-P, N-P, N-N
  52.         Collisions Resulting in Pair Production.

  55.     So it at least makes the top 10 list.  8-).

  57.     If anyone has current information on B or C, it *will* adjust the
  58. position of the FAQ in the list, though not above 4, since 3 is required
  59. to accumulate information for the FAQ.
