  16. I am still searching for a list of BSD-specific commands, and a list of functions/commands
  17. in C(++) which can be used to replace them.  Primarily I am interested in the portability
  18. issues in that BSD 'isms are inherently non-portable across platforms.

  20. If anyone can help with either a list of BSD-specifics, that would help.

  22. If anyone can help with a list of BSD-specifics and a suggestion on more portable alternatives
  23. to these commands which are not BSD-oriented, I would be filled with joy as my deadline is
  24. rapidly approaching.
