- If my memory serves me right, the DEPCA uses an INTEL 82586 LANCE. There was
- a recent posting for an "ie_driver" based on this chip. It should work, or it
- should be not too difficult to modify it.

- Nope. The LANCE is an AMD part. The 82586 is an Intel part. The
- LANCE is actually fairly easy to interface to, and DEC uses shared
- memory, so you don't have to deal with bus mastering like on most
- LANCE-based boards, e.g. ni6510 and NTI.
