  25.    If my memory serves me right, the DEPCA uses an INTEL 82586 LANCE. There was
  26.    a recent posting for an "ie_driver" based on this chip. It should work, or it
  27.    should be not too difficult to modify it.

  29. Nope.  The LANCE is an AMD part.  The 82586 is an Intel part.  The
  30. LANCE is actually fairly easy to interface to, and DEC uses shared
  31. memory, so you don't have to deal with bus mastering like on most
  32. LANCE-based boards, e.g. ni6510 and NTI.
