- on 386BSD 0.0new Emacs was happily running and forking to shells and
- whatever you wanted. But since I installed 386BSD 0.1 I always get an
- error like "Inferior process exited with error 1" or so. I recompiled
- Emacs now from scratch, and it was still the same. The thing is, that
- the M-x compile command does work correctly, but as soon as you call
- an interactive subprocess like shell or prolog or lisp, it will end
- with that message.

- PS: I have enough ptys installed, since screen works without problems.
