  12. After running 386BSD 0.1 on my 486/33 system for about a month, I am
  13. forced to return to the DOS world for the semester to do COBOL work.
  14. However, when I installed 386BSD from the installer disk, I let it
  15. set up my system as one large BSD partition (where it apparently
  16. reconfigured part of the boot partition of my 212MB IDE drive).

  18. Although I went into fdisk and changed the partition to a DOS type,
  19. reformatted and restored the drive from tape backup, it's not able
  20. to boot up on its own (I can only access it after booting from
  21. floppy).

  23. Any hints on how to reset the drive to boot from C: again?

  25. Many thanks! Also, if someone out there knows of a COBOL compiler
  26. (noncommercial) for the BSD world...I'd be thrilled and wouldn't
  27. have to go back to DOS!
