  32. Before Peter answers, I'll give you an alternative solution:

  34. I have unpacked the kernel sources from the src01 archive and repacked them
  35. in an "unofficial" archive.
  36. This package is available from 
  37. ftp.uni-duisburg.de (134.91.4.132) in /pub/unix/386bsd-0.1/unofficial/kerndist.
  38.  
  39. This is a tar.Z archive (in contrast to the other packages) and cannot be
  40. installed by 'extract'.
  41.  
  42. Get the README.kerndist first.
  43.  
  44. The package is 1.3 MB compressed in size, and 3.5 MB as the uncompressed tree,
  45. but you NEED 7-8 MB of free space on your disk (and of course the whole 
  46. bindist package, which already contains parts of the kernel package).
  47. The remaining 3.5 - 4.5 MB, which make the difference between the tree and
  48. the required space, are needed for the compilation and the object files.
  49.  
  50. Have fun, but retrieve the archive at night (local time = GMT+1) only.
