  13. I have some strange troubles with this system:

  15. Problem description:
  16. Can't install 386BSD into 0xa5 partition, but installation on whole
  17. disk is sucessfull.
  18. This bug is independent of partition size and order.
  19.  
  20. 'install' diagnostics:
  21. "High level... disk storage:"
  22. Disk parameters and partition size are correct.
  23. After "super-block backups ..." and its numbers 'install' says:
  24. newfs: ioctl (WDINFO): No such process
  25. newfs: /dev/rwd0a: can't rewrite disk label
  26.  
  27. Hardware:
  28. ST-1239A (IDE) with _real_ CMOS configuration, i.e. 1272 x 9 x 36
