- I have its relative (BSD/386) on a Dell 325N and it works fine.
-
- But, beware of network connectivity with a notebook. That's the
- real problem. SLIP works so-so, mainly due to silo overflows,
- and it's usually pretty hard to just swap in a 16550 in a notebook
- given their tight packaging. I doubt it would be very nice for
- NFS anyways. I had intended to use a Xircom pocket Ethernet adapter
- (I was prepared to write the driver myself), but it turns out Xircom
- won't give you any information at all about programming their device.
- (And of course, all their supplied drivers are for DOS.) Seems like
- a docking station is about the only way to really hook one up for real
- connectivity.
