- Well, I am STILL out in the cold as to what the heck is wrong with my IIci!!
-
- As per some of the requests I received, I checked my memory situation. I
- ripped out all 20MB and used 4 2MB Sims....Same problem! I cannot get passed
- the stupid launching screen for A/UX!!
-
- I guess ALL that is wrong now would be my SCSI port?!? I cannot think of
- anything else that could be wrong! The IIsi that I installed A/UX on has
- the EXACT same hard drive, 9MB of memory, I used MY CD_ROM drive & cable and
- it worked like a charm. Oh, of course his IIsi had a 68882 on it.
-
- Does this sound like a SCSI problem with my IIci?? Why can't I repeat the
- installation process on my IIci that worker on the IIsi!! How can I test
- my SCSI chain for problems?!?!?
-
- O.K. maybe this will shed some light on my SCSI problems?! Under A/UX, I
- cannot use/mount the CD-ROM at all! I cannot even eject the sucker. Yes, I
- put the CD in BEFORE even turning on my IIci. STrange, I can use the CD when
- I am running just the bare 7.0.1 after boot up, but after that NOTHING! Is
- there ANY program that I can use to test/evaluate my problem?!
-
- As far as Apple is concerned, my problem has been ESCALATED and sent to the
- engineers. I guess that is that. Oh well, you netters are my LAST hope!
