- Has anyone seen any problems with the built-in ethernet on the Quadra 700?
- I'm running A/UX 3.0 and seeing some unusual activity. Periodically, ethernet
- activity will cease, with both incoming and outgoing activity stopping.
- A ping during this time will show no returns, and netstat -m shows steadily
- increasing memory usage. After about 10 seconds, all of the ping packets
- will suddenly return, with appropriate values (i.e., from 10000 ms down
- to 10 ms).
- Pings done from another machine to the same destination machine show no
- change, so it's not a general network problem. Pings done from another
- machine to the affected Quadra show the same kind of behavior as pings
- from the Quadra.
- So far we've moved the machine to a different subnet (no effect), increased
- various buffer allocations (no effect), and even swapped in a complete
- new machine (no effect).
- I'm currently planning on adding in a Nubus ethernet card to see if it
- has anything to do with the built-in ethernet.
- Any thoughts/suggestions?
-
- Thanks,
- Robert
