- Hello folks!
-
- I was just wondering why Commodore is not releassing his Unix
- port on CD-ROM, since the drive is easily available and cheap
- and they do anyway write CD-ROMs for the CDTV. It would be
- much easier to boot from a CD-ROM drive and then install the Unix
- on the HD, or just have the root dir. and the swap there and the
- whole system on the CD. Sure it would not be as fast as having the
- system on the HD, but it would save some hundreds of megabytes.
-
- So who finds it would be a good idea, what whould be the inconvenients?
-
- (If I remeber Sun is actualy distributing much of his software
- on CDROM and several other vendors do the same)
-
- Cheers,
-
- Rick
