  12. What is the best way to move a volume group from two small disks on our server
  13. to one BIG disk?

  15.  We currently have two 320 disks for AIX/CATIA/Misc Scripts and programs that
  16. go to make up the rootvg.  We also have two 857 disks that contain all the user
  17. data and configuration of CATIA.  And I would like to move all the data from
  18. the two 857 disks to a 2Gig, preserving the logical volumes/filesystems in the
  19. same format/size (this must be done as painlessly as possible, and the server
  20. is vital to our operations so it must be done reliably).

  22.  Then we will be removing the 320 disks and installing AIX on one of the 857
  23. disks.  All this has come about because SCSI only lets us attach 7 devices to
  24. one card and we now have 8!! (2x320,2x857,2x2Gig,tape,CD).

  26. Any tips for this operation gratefully accepted.
