- Perhaps the "connection speed" is independent of the DTE-to-DCE interface
- speed. If you went through SMIT and selected 38400, you probably have
- 38400 from the RISC/6000... I suspect the 9600 baud you are seeing
- reflects the modem-to-modem speed that was negociated between the modems
- when you dialed in/out. Use "stty" to check; from another screen issue:

- stty -a < /dev/tty7 (if tty7 is the port in question)
