- This question has been previously posted to comp.windows.x.motif and
- received little feedback. It seems to be RS/6000 specific, so I will
- try this newsgroup.
-
- We have an RS/6000 (AIX 3.2, X11R4, Motif 1.1) which is used with several
- other workstations including Suns, and PCs running SCO. We do a lot of
- X/Motif development on the RS/6000, and I have come across this annoying
- problem. For any program which we compile on the RS/6000, the XmText and
- XmTextField widgets do not display in the proper font if a display other
- than the RS/6000 console or the IBM XStations is used. The widgets just
- come up in the default fixed font. The fonts are definetly resident on
- the other servers, they are even used by the same program for different
- widgets. If I compile the offending programs (any Motif program using a
- text widget) on the Sun or the PC, the problem goes away. For this reason
- I claim that it is RS/6000 specific.
-
- If anybody has had similar experiences, I would like to hear from you.
