  27.    if you want this to be handled, but not interpreted (displayed),
  28.    use xdvi (from export.lcs.mit.edu);

  30.    if you want PS graphics to be interpreted as well, you need a
  31.    PostScript interpreter (you will then be previewing .ps files,
  32.    however, and not .dvi files and the previewing task is not
  33.    specifically related to TeX anymore);
  34.    ghostview/ghostscript (from prep.ai.mit.edu) is reaonably good
  35.    at that.
