- There was a bit of traffic here a couple weeks ago about the lack of a
- decent editor for AIX 3.2 with the kind of mouse support you'd have under
- MS-windows or MAC. Some people suggested aXe-3.0, which I tried, but it was
- semi-broken on my machine (running 3.2 with X11R4).
-
- A new version of aXe, 3.0.1, has just been posted to export.lcs.mit.edu. It
- compiled with absolutely no problem, and seems to be completely bug-free. It
- is great! Cut-and paste, search and replace, multiple windows, line numbers
- displayed (and position n the line), all without the mysterious commands of
- vi or emacs. Great pipe to spell - it opens a separate window with the
- questioned words listed. Similarly nice nroff. Give it a try, the price
- is certainly right.
