- The keyboard on my RS6000 (Powerstation 320) has died. It does not
- receive any power from the cpu (caps lock, num lock, etc. do not light up).
- Swapping keyboards and cables did not work, and the fuses are good.
- The IBM people who looked at it said that the motherboard needs
- to be replaced. The current price for a motherboard is around $9,000,
- and of course we are not under maintenance. I'm hoping we can
- install some sort of keyboard option card to by-pass the defective
- keyboard port on the motherboard. Does anyone know if such an
- option is available? I suppose also I could hook a terminal
- up through the S1 or S2 tty connections, and the machine is accessable
- via telnet/rlogin.
-
- Any help/advice greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
