  14.   Like everyone else, we have applied the posixdd and ptydd fixes.  If anything,
  15. it has made the problem worse.  We see sessions hang with rlogin, telnet, xterm,
  16. and aixterm.  Per Bob Shairs note concerning csh, I have gotten hung up from
  17. ksh on the console.  Resizing the window, cat'ing a file to the pty, and the
  18. STOP sig and restart seem to work in most cases.  We have an apar open, but I
  19. don't know the status ( I'm supposed to be on vacation ).  We are getting close
  20. to turning a bibliographic database server running on a 560 on to the campus
  21. and the Internet.  These work arounds won't do for the average folk.  This needs
  22. fixing post haste!
