  29. There have been answers hinting aat using `ansitape', a well-known PD tape
  30. program. Well, I wrote a utility 'slt' or 'sltape' also handling both ANSI
  31. and IBM tapes. BUT: This is CMS (resp. VM370) and this is a completely
  32. different system, with a different tape format. There is a PD program
  33. 'cmstape', which can handle CMS 'TAPE DUMP' archives. check archie!
  34. I do not know, if this utility covers all formats and variants (the man
  35. of my version says explicitly NO to the VMFPLC2 format), so take a close
  36. look.  I have never seen anything about SAS tapes and manipulation of these
  37. on UNIX systems.
