- XLife users:
-
- I am writing a Life program and would like to know how fast it is compared to
- XLife in order to compare and analyze the algorithms. However, I can't run
- XLife, so I am requesting that those of you who can, do this for me:
- XLife (or at least release 3.0) has a benchmark feature, where you put in a
- pattern and it asks you how many generations to play and when done tells you
- how long it took.
- Could you please have it play the pattern 'acorn' (it looks like this)
- .x.....
- ...x...
- xx..xxx (I believe)
- for 10,000 generations, and mail me the results.
- I need to know the exact time reported and on exactly what machine you ran it.
- I need as many as possible.
-
- Thanks in advance!
