- I use dvips 5.490 and afm2tfm 7.0 by "Radical Eye Software".

- I have tried to use PostScript fonts instead of the CM fonts and it
- works great so far (smaller spool files, faster printing) but there are
- no german umlauts. Apparently they are not even in the DVI file so I
- guess the TFM files for the PostScript fonts are wrong.

- Is this a known bug and is there a fix? Did I do something wrong?
