  11. I use dvips 5.490 and afm2tfm 7.0 by "Radical Eye Software".

  13. I have tried to use PostScript fonts instead of the CM fonts and it
  14. works great so far (smaller spool files, faster printing) but there are
  15. no german umlauts. Apparently they are not even in the DVI file so I
  16. guess the TFM files for the PostScript fonts are wrong.

  18. Is this a known bug and is there a fix? Did I do something wrong?
