  17. Mandate: The primary purpose of this working group is as a forum
  18. for those people interested in using and/or enhancing TeX to serve the needs
  19. of the disabled.

  27. The annual TUG meeting held in Portland at the end of July 92
  28. decided to form a special interest working group to address  the
  29. possible advantages in using TeX to make documents more accessible to
  30. the disabled.
  31.  
  32. I would like to invite people interested in this area to join this
  33. group at this time.  In the initial phase, I see a need to gather
  34. information about any relevant  ongoing work in this area.
  35.  
  36. To give a taste of what I mean by ongoing work, I found a Braille.sty
  37. and Braille.tfm while wandering around the European archives, and so I
  38. feel that there might be others out there who have already addressed
  39. some of the questions.
