-
- There is no real "#include" in Frame, but you can get some of
- what you want with cross reference
-
- +The problem comes from a fax message distribution problem. I have
- +a committee with 15 members, none of whom are on the 'net :-(
- +So I made up 15 Fax Lead Sheets, one for each member. The sheet
- +contains a Subject line and about 5 inches of text space. I've
- +got them in a book, so one print command prints them all. I'd
- +like to be able to fill in the subject line and text space from
- +a single file, so that they all get the same message. If there's
- +more pages than the lead sheet, those are only printed once. I
- +don't want to cut and paste to 15 lead sheets for each new message.
- +
- +We are running Version 3.1X, Jan 92. Any ideas?

- As your Fax Lead Sheets are already in a book, put your other
- document as another single file in the book. Now put one other file
- in the book that is not included in the list of files to print.
- Place the text that is to be common on the Fax sheets in that file
- as separate, specially named paragraphs. In each Fax sheet cross
- reference to the "common" document with format set to the paragraph
- text. Now you just update the text in the "common" document, then
- update cross references to "all documents". While this has the
- problems inherent with cross reference (font style of source is lost, etc.)
- this will provide most of the capabilities you will need.
